The IPP WG meeting was held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM on March 17, with about 30 participants. The chair started by reporting about the five IPP/1.0 I-Ds that will appear as Experiental RFCs when they have passed the RFC Editors' queue. He then also gave a report from the successful IPP bake-off event held on March 9-12, with 24 companies bringing a total of 11 client side and 27 server side IPP implementations. Next, the two new I Ds for IPP/1.1 were introduced and the major differences between IPP/1.0 and IPP/1.1 were higlighted. Two discusion points were brought up. One had to do with the need to have a register for tokens used in the HTTP/1.1 Upgrade Header. Larry Masinter wil try to clear this with the IANA registry. The other point was a suggestion by Larry Masinter to edit the IPP/1.1 documents in such a way that they cover also IPP/1.0. With that approach we don't need to have two sets of documents with mostly identical text, once the IPP/1.1 drafts get approveed for the Standards Track. This proposal found overall approval from the meeting participants.
