Job Ticket API (JTAPI) Working Group Status

Accomplishments:

1.  Modified the IBM provided header files to contain only what is 
    required for the alpha version of the FSG JTAPI implementation.

2.  Started reviewing the alpha version of the FSG JTAPI header files.


In Progress:
--------------
1.  Creation of the JTAPI Specification

2.  Continue to enhance and update IBM provided C JTAPI header files to match 
    FSG JT WG design.


Future Plans:
---------------
1.  Create C header files that represent JTAPI.

2.  Implement C version of JTAPI.

3.  Create Java interface that represents JTAPI.

4.  Implement Java version of JTAPI.


Issues/Concerns:
--------------------
1.  Lack of resources (time and funding) to implement C version of JTAPI.

2.  Lack of resources (time and funding) to implement Java version of JTAPI.

3.  Lack of direction from FSG regarding the license to use when contributing
    code to FSG and when developing code for FSG. The MIT license seems to be 
    the least restrictive, but some companies prefer CPL because of the 
    warranty and disclaimer.
