  - Let's not do a separate policy document but instead update Document Management?
    - Definitions exist today for "deprecated" and "obsolete"

  - Need to be cautious about rushing to deprecate something that is actually in use
    - Query vendors and open source implementors

  - Should be a 2 stage process (just like attributes and operations)
    - Deprecate for some period of time and then obsolete (only if NO implementations

  - We should do a document-by-document review of our candidate standards / standards and 
    identify possible targets

  - Classes - existing and new?
    - Deprecated / Obsolete / Withdrawn / others? 

  - Historical class - that represents something that is still approved and could be implemented 
    (i.e., is NOT Deprecated/Obsolete) but is old and may no longer be in use
    - Query vendors and open source implementors

  - Next steps
    - Someone propose text / make a contribution for updating Document Management Policy

    - Review all currently approved PWG Documents (Best Practices, Candidate Standards, Standards,
      Informational, Whitepaper) and see which ones might be a candidate for Deprecation
      - UPDF (Universal Printer Description Format) - 5101.4-2004 - capabilities / features

      - PSI (Print System Interface) - 5104.2-2005 - Web printing over WDSL/SOAP/HTTP

  - What constitutes the criteria for downgrade to Deprecated / Obsolete?
    - No longer maintained? - dangerous criteria, since a spec may be active (e.g., "output-bin")

    - SHOULD no longer be used - Deprecated - first phase of downgrade

    - MUST no longer be used - Obsolete - second phase of downgrade

    - Paul / Alan may be asked to present in June 2024

  - Uli reached out via email to Paul that Ricoh will start to offer 3D printing service and 
    he wanted to discuss about IPP 3D

  - Paul needs to find out if he will be asked to present at the ACI (American Concrete Institute) 
    event the last Monday of October in Boston

  - Excitement about standards development in the 3D printing space has somewhat dried up for the
    moment

ACTION: Ira to document OID arc usage in PWG

- "arc" is any single value (often least-significant) in an OID - Existing plain text PWG policy and registry for each PWG MIB base OID - IBM gave PWG a permanent arc for LDAP OIDs for Print Schema (RFC 7612)
- LDAP OIDs to be documented in a additional policy and registry in ".../process/"
ACTION: Smith / Mike / Ira/ anybody to draft whitepaper on late binding for best fidelity in Cloud servers, intent vs. process for output fidelity, and the fundamental design ethos of the PWG's work

- Perhaps have as a topic for some future PWG F2F to enumerate core set of concepts with which to construct an outline for the document
